In the economically developed countries one of the main factors affecting the people's health is the excessive, unbalanced feeding leading to the predominance of food intake over energy expenditure. This, in turn, is causally related to the increased incidence of metabolic diseases typical for the civilised societies, such as obesity and atheromatosis along with their sequels, i.e. ischemic heart disease, diabetes, arterial hypertension, etc....
