REHABILITATION AFTER RUPTURES OF THE QUADRICEPS TENDON TREATED BY OPERATION - OWN EXPERIENCE

Autoři se v předložené práci zabývají různými postupy rehabilitace po sutuře ruptury šlachy čtyřhlavého stehenního svalu a hodnocením výsledků. Předkládají výsledky u dvou skupin pacientů z let 1993 až 1998 - pacientů operovaných a léčených na jejich pracovišti a pacientů operovaných na jiných pracovištích, kteří byli léčeni stejným nebo jiným rehabilitačním postupem a autory pak pouze náhodně kontrolováni. Při hodnocení autoři sledovali v odstupu 6 měsíců od operace a po ukončení rehabilitační léčby chůzi pacientů, svalový test, rozsah aktivního pohybu v kolenním kloubu. Součástí hodnocení byla i subjektivní spokojenost pacientů. Autoři srovnávají výsledky u obou skupin pacientů a doporučují rehabilitační postup.

In their study the authors deal with various rehabilitation procedures after suture of the rupture of the quadriceps tendon and the evaluation of the results. They present the results of two groups of patients during the period 1993-1998: patients operated on and treated in their department and patients operated on in other departments who were treated by the same or different rehabilitation procedures and then checked randomly by the authors. During the evaluation, the authors observed the walking of the patients, the muscular test and the extent of active movement in the knee joint at an interval of 6 months from the time of operation and after the rehabilitation was finished. Subjective feelings of the patients were also part of the evaluation. The authors compare the results of both groups of patients and recommend a rehabilitation procedure.
