VAKCINACE STAR©ÍCH OSOB PROTI CHŘIPCE

Acute respiratory diseases represent a worldwide problem and it is so, even in the conditions of developed countries. It is difficult to implement effective antiepidemic measures in all acute respiratory infections including influenza. It is, however, possible to influence the last part of the epidemic chain — the susceptible individual — by vaccination against influenza. Influenza that is in progress can seriously influence health, especially in older people with chronic diseases of the heart, lungs, and blood circulation, with diabetes mellitus and kidney disease and also people who must stay in bed for a long time. Vaccination can significantly reduce mortality in this group due to influenza complications appearing on top of the main disease during epidemics.
