SUBSTITUTED PYRIDINIUM DERIVATIVES AS INHIBITORS OF ACETYLCHOLINESTERASE

The interaction of twenty-Six different I 2-, 3-, and 4- substituted N-methylpyridinium iodides with
acetylcholinesterase (A ChE) was investigated in vitro experiments. All compounds involved in this study were
found to be competitive AChE inhibitors with Kdiss values ranging from 5.5 to 130 ,μM.
