Autor popisuje strukturu a organizační zařazení předsunutého chirurgického týmu, který je součástí složek zdravotnické služby ozbrojených sil USA. Během studijního pobytu se autor seznámil s činností tohoto zařízení a aktivně se zúčastnil výcviku FST.

The author describes the organizational structure and subordination of a forward surgical team which is a part of the USA Armed Forces Medical Service. During his study stay the author was acquainted with the activity of this facility and he actively participated in the forward surgical team training.
