Tradice užívání přírodních halucinogenů sahá hluboko do minulosti lidstva.

The tradition of using natural hallucinogens goes far back into the past. Today, at the time of information technologies, the use of traditional hallucinogens among young people has increased again. We can find some hallucinogenic plants growing also in the Czech nature. The subject of this article are some of the indole alkaloids from the plant and animal kingdom, isoxazole alkaloids contained in Amanita muscaria and Amanita pantherina and tropane alkaloids occuring naturally in many members of the plant family Solanaceae. This article deals with some of the applications of these hallucinogens, their toxicity and their effects on humans.
