Autor článku podává v úvodu základní informaci o místě konání výroční konference a jejím významu. Dále se zmiňuje o organizačním uspořádání konference, které mívá tradičně standardní schéma. Jsou připomenuta hlavní projednávaná témata s důrazem na ta, která zazněla letos poprvé. Podrobněji je pak pojednáno o příspěvku z české letecké medicíny, tak jak jej autor prezentoval v průběhu konference. I letošní téma, zabývající se výskytem, diagnostikou a hlavně léčbou hypertenze u příslušníků českého vojenského letectva, bylo zajímavé a vyvolalo živou diskusi mezi účastníky konference, což je jistě potěšující skutečnost. Bylo ale zároveň konstatováno, že není obtížné léčit hypertenzi farmakologicky, problémem, a to nejen u nás, zůstává ovlivnění a eliminace dalších rizikových faktorů ischemické choroby srdeční, která bohužel patří i mezi létajícimi k nejčastějším příčinám trvalé diskvalifikace k letecké službě.

In the introductory part of the article the author gives basic information on the place where the conference was held and on its significance. He also writes about the organizational arrangement of the conference which traditionally has a standard scheme. The main topics discussed are mentioned with the stress on the ones which were presented this year for the first time. His paper concerning Czech aerospace medicine is mentioned in greater detail in the same way it was presented by the author at the conference. Also this year’s topic dealing with the incidence, diagnosis and mainly the treatment of hypertension among personnel of the Czech Air Force was interesting and it led to a lively discussion among the participants at the conference. This is certainly a pleasant fact. But at the same time it was stated that it is not difficult to treat hypertension pharmacologically. The problem, not only in our country, is to influence and eliminate the other risk factors of ischemic heart disease which is among pilots the most common cause of permanent disqualification for air service.
