Application of the Student Centered Approach in Health Psychology Teaching

Aplikace přístupu zaměřeného na člověka ve výuce psychologie zdraví umožňuje rozšíření klasického biomedicínského modelu o psychologický pohled na zdraví a nemoc (bio-psycho-sociální model). Nejde jen o rozšíření pohledu o psychologickou rovinu, ale o způsob myšlení a začlenění do praxe. Forma výuky předmětu Psychologie zdraví na našem pracovišti není univerzálním modelem, je reálnou možností, kdy je vytvořen prostor pro zcela novou zkušenost nezbytnou k sebepřijetí a celkové změně životního stylu. U pracovníků pomáhajících profesí (kam patří i lékaři a zdravotní sestry) pokládáme absolvování sebezkušenostních výcviků za základní předpoklad nejen pro výkon profese, ale i pro uchování zdraví.

Application of the Person Centered Approach (PCA) in Health Psychology teaching extends the classic biomedical model with a psychological view of health and disease (a bio-psycho-social model). It concerns not only the extension of view with the psychological level but also with the way of thinking and practical application. The form of Health Psychology teaching at our department is not a general model, it is a real possibility when the space for new experience, which is necessary in self-acceptance and total change of life style, is created. Participation in selfeducational training in help-profession workers (including doctors and nurses) is considered to be the basic condition not only for job pursuance but also for keeping in good shape.
